Marshal Ahluwalia

Manurewa Local Board

Marshal’s story is one of passion, drive, hard work and service. He came to New Zealand in 2010, fell in love with the diversity and made Manurewa his home.

He got involved with the community tree plantings, street cleanups and driving sustainability initiatives. In 2021 he was nominated and won the Local Hero award from Keep NZ Beautiful for his work in our community.

His first job was at the local petrol station and twelve years later he is now the National Logistics Manager for the third largest transport company in New Zealand.

He lives in Manurewa with his partner who is Samoan and is here to stay. Marshal’s volunteer work also includes budget advisor, raising funds for Blood NZ, Age Concern, Totara Park Hospice and the Beautification Trust.

With a career managing competing priorities and volunteer extraordinaire, Marshal’s got it sorted. Please vote for Marshal and all #LoveManurewa candidates.
